Acer Announces a Tsunami of New Hardware Products

At its virtual [email protected] 2020 event today, Acer announced new Enduro, Concept3D, Chromebook Spin, Swift, and Predator hardware products.

Here’s a quick rundown.

Enduro

Enduro is a new line of rugged notebook PCs and tablets. New models include:

Enduro N7. This rugged notebook is made with shock-absorbent materials and provides the reliability required by first responders, field, and industrial manufacturing workers. They are MIL-810G and IP65 certified and engineered to withstand drops onto the hardest flooring and resist both dust and water.

Enduro N3. This durable and portable notebook is aimed at architects, project inspectors, event managers, agricultural plant personnel, and anyone else who works at multiple worksites. It will be available in North America in August and start at $899.

Enduro T5. This durable and rugged 10-inch Windows tablet is designed to be used in extreme environments.

Enduro T1 (W). This flexible and rugged 10-inch Windows tablet can attach to an optional portfolio keyboard and used as a notebook.

Enduro T1 (A). This compact and durable 8-inch Android tablet is designed for retail, warehouse, and factory workers.

ConceptD 3

ConceptD products are aimed at creators, and Acer is announcing new notebook and convertible notebook models. They come with 14- and 15.6-inch Full HD PANTONE-validated touchscreen displays.

ConceptD 3. Powered by NVIDIA Quadro T1000 (ConceptD 3 Pro) or GeForce GTX 1650Ti GPUs and new 10th-generation Intel Core H-series processors, the ConceptD 3 family provides up to 20 hours of battery life and will be available in North America in October starting at $999.99.

ConceptD 3 Ezel. Powered by 10th-generation Intel Core i7-10750H or Core i5-10300H processors and NVIDIA Quadro T1000 (ConceptD 3 Ezel Pro) or GeForce GTX 1650Ti GPUs, the ConceptD 3 Ezel provides up to 18 hours of battery life and will be available in North America in August starting at $1,499.99.

Chromebooks

Acer is expanding its best-selling lineup of Chromebooks with two new Spin models.

Chromebook Spin 713. This premium convertible Chromebook will ship with either Chrome OS or Chrome Enterprise, the latest 10th-generation Intel Core processors, a 3:2 VertiView display, and a flexible design with military-grade durability. The Acer Chromebook Spin 713 will be available in North America in July starting at $629.99. The Acer Chromebook Enterprise Spin 713 will be available in North America in August starting at $1099.

Chromebook Spin 311. This consumer-friendly 11.6-inch convertible Chromebook is aimed at home users who need an additional device for schoolwork and everyday projects. It’s powered by a Mediatek MT8183 processor and provides up to 15 hours of battery life. It will be available in North America in July starting at $259.99

Swift

Swift is Acer’s brand for thin and light notebooks. There is one new model:

Swift 5. Acer’s ultrathin-and-light notebook features next-generation Intel Core processors with integrated Intel Xe graphics and optional NVIDIA GeForce MX350 GPUs. It weighs less than 2.2 pounds and is just 0.59-inches thin, features a Gorilla Glass-protected touchscreen with four ultra-narrow bezels, and will be available in North America in October starting at $999.99.

Predator and Nitro

Predator and Nitro are Acer’s gaming brands.

Predator Helios 700. This gaming notebook features Acer’s sliding HyperDrift keyboard and an overclockable 10th-generation Intel Core i9-10980HK or i7-10875H processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 SUPER or RTX 2070 SUPER graphics. It has enhanced thermal management capabilities included on models with the Intel Core i9 processor and will be available in North America in August starting at $2,399.99.

Predator Helios 300. This gaming notebook ships with the latest 10th-generation Intel Core H-series processors, overclockable NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design graphics, and a 240 Hz 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with 3ms overdrive. It will be available in North America in July starting at $1,199.99.

Predator Triton 300. This slim gaming notebook has been refreshed to include a 10th-generation Intel Core H-series processor, up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 with Max-Q Design graphics, a 240Hz display refresh rate, and three heat pipes. The metal chassis is just 0.78 inches thin and it weighs 4.63 pounds. It will be available in North America in September starting at $1,299.99.

Nitro 7.  This gaming notebook has a metal chassis that also measures just 0.78 inches thin and weighs 5.51 pounds. It comes with a 10th-generation Intel Core H-series processor, u to a GeForce RTX 2060 GPU, and a 15.6-inch non-glare FHD IPS display with a 144 Hz refresh rate and 3ms response time. It will be available in North America in October starting at $999.99.
