Apple Is Giving Away Three Months of Free Apple News+
Remember Apple News+? Apple’s $9.99 a month news subscription service that gives users access to magazines and news? Well, it’s now a little more affordable — kind of.
Apple is giving away three months of Apple News+ in some countries for Black Friday. The company announced on Friday that customers in the United States and Canada can now get a 3 month free trial of Apple News+, reports MacRumors.
The offer is only available this weekend, so if you have any interest in Apple News+ and the magazines it offers, you may want to get the free trial. But don’t forget to actually unsubscribe before the trial period ends because Apple News+ will automatically renew at $9.99 per month.
And yes, that’s frankly a little too expensive for a news subscription service. Considering Apple TV+ comes at only $4.99 a month and the fact that it’s free for Apple Music Students users, the $9.99 a month pricing for Apple News+ simply doesn’t make any sense.
