Dell Launches Powerful New XPS 15 With Intel’s New Core i9 Processors

Dell is introducing a serious upgrade to its flagship XPS 15 device today. The company is super powering the regular XPS 15 with Intel’s powerful new processors.

The device, coming later this month, packs Intel’s new 8th gen Core processors. The device comes with Intel’s new Coffee Lake H series chips, plus a Core i9 option. Intel launched the new Core i7-8750H earlier today, which is effectively a “mobile” version of the full-fledged H series chips meant for laptops like the XPS 15. These new chips are capable of offering up to up to 41% FPS in games, and edit 4K video up to 59% faster than the previous generation of processors according to Intel.

Along with Intel’s new Core i9 processors, Dell is also bringing the Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti graphics to the new XPS 15. The new GPU, combined with the 6-core Intel Coffee Lake mobile H series processors, makes the XPS 15 seem like a really good option for those looking for a powerful but portable computer to use while on the move.

The new XPS 15 will be available for pre-order on April 16 from Dell’s official website in the United States starting at $999 — needless to mention, that obviously won’t come with the new Core i9 processors and you’ll have to pay a lot more for that. Dell is also launching a new brushed onyx version for the XPS 15 2-in-1 next month, starting at $1,299.
