First Pixel 8 Pro Leak Brings Some Good News
According to the first substantive Pixel 8 Pro leak, Google’s next flagship will fix one of my biggest issues with its predecessor and finally adopt a flat display. And that’s the only reason I’m even writing about this: I’m considering a move back to Pixel this year, and this improvement could be what puts doing so over the top.
My preferences notwithstanding, the biggest visual change appears to be a new sensor on the rear camera bar. There’s no word what that is, but Lidar (or similar) is a good guess.
Beyond that, the design looks similar/identical to that of the Pixel 7 Pro, with similar/identical display bezels and a 6.52-inch display with a centered hole punch front-facing camera (as before). It will allegedly be powered by a new-generation Tensor G3 system-on-a-chip (SoC) that’s built on a 3 nm manufacturing process.
And that’s about all we know. But all I need to know is, flat display. Finally.
