First Ring Daily 1112: Windows Gets Dated
FWIW, I tried Bluestacks years ago and was able to get Android apps running on Windows. If that was an achievement, it was also a horrible experience. I’ve also tried Dex and I can run some phone apps through Your Phone, and. . . . . the experience is still just lousy. There still seems to be some ineffable difference in the look of an Android app on a desktop. Maybe Chromebooks have become better than I recall them being? So as to be at least comparable? So ok, sure, lets have Android apps on Windows. Why not? But take your time.
Also, even more (or less) FWIW, when I access this site on my Android phone (on Edge) and run a video, the ads are incredibly aggressive and insist on running simultaneously with the video. . . or you have to sit through a series of ads before you can watch the video, if ever you can wait that long… and when you change the orientation from portrait to landscape or go to full screen, you can still hear the audio of the video but the ad grabs the entirety of the screen!
