Google Announces Android 11 Beta Launch Show

Posted May 6, 2020 | Android | Android 11 | Mobile | Windows

Google is announcing a new launch show for the upcoming Android 11 beta. The company usually reveals details on the next major version of Android at its I/O developer conference.

This year, things are obviously very different. Although companies like Apple and Microsoft are moving their annual developer conferences online this year, Google has decided to completely cancel I/O.

Now, the company is announcing the new Android 11 beta launch show, where it will be revealing details on the next major version of Android. The event is going to take place on YouTube on June 3rd at 11 AM ET (15:00 GMT). At the event, Google will show off new Android 11 features, followed by a live Q&A with Android experts. I am assuming Google will also release the first Android 11 beta later that day.

Google says the company will focus on new connectivity, controls, safety, security, productivity, and accessibility. features of Android 11 at the beta launch show.

The company has already released three developer previews for Android 11. The beta will most likely be much more reliable than the developer previews, as Google is aiming to get platform stability around June, with the final public release slated for Q3 2020.
