Google is integrating food ordering into some of its leading online services. The company is now letting users order food on Google Search, Google Maps, and Google Assistant. Users in the United States can now use any of these services to order food from their nearby restaurants.

The feature works with leading services like DoorDash, Postmates, Deelivery.com, Slice, and ChowNow, with more partners coming soon. Restaurants that support this new feature will have an “Order Online” button on their search results on Google Search and Google Maps, where you can make an order. You will be able to view the menu and pay via Google Pay.

And on Google Assistant, you can simply ask the Assistant to order from a certain restaurant and it will let you choose a service to order from. You can then go through the ordering process, choose what you want, and pay with Google Pay. Assistant even lets you make repeating orders — so if there’s something you like from your favourite restaurant, you can simply ask Google Assistant to reorder that exact order and you can order your favourite dishes that way, too.

This is a really great addition to Google’s services, especially Assistant, considering how popular food delivery has been getting recently. I would love for this to make it to the UK.
