Google is expanding its Google Play Games for PC Beta to New Zealand and 40 European countries this week. This is the biggest expansion for the beta, which was previously only available in 13 countries including Australia, Canada, Japan, South Korea, and the US.

The Google Play Games for PC app currently lets Windows users play a collection of over 100 Android games on their PCs. Google promises better graphics compared to playing these games on an Android phone or tablet, but Windows users can also play these games with a keyboard or mouse.

Google Play Games for PC requires a device with Windows 10 version 2004 or newer 10 GB of storage, and a minimum of 8 GB of RAM. CPU virtualization also needs to be turned on in your BIOS settings, and if the Windows Hypervisor Platform isn’t already enabled, you’ll be prompted to turn it on during the installation process.

On Windows 11, Microsoft has teamed up with Amazon to bring Android apps through the Amazon App Store and the Windows Subsystem for Android. Over 20,000 Android apps are currently available on Windows 11. Google chose a different approach by only focusing on Android games, though the Google Play Games for PC beta does support Windows 10 in addition to Windows 11.
