Google’s Play Points rewards program is coming to the United States. Google announced on Monday the company is bringing its rewards program for Google Play to the United States after the service has been available for a bit in Japan and South Korea.

Play Points, for those unfamiliar, allows users to earn reward points simply by spending money on Google Play. And as you spend more, you get more points, which you can then use to buy more stuff on Google Play. There are four levels: Bronze, Gold, Silver, and Platinum, and as you go to the higher levels, you get more perks from your earned points.

Google says you can earn points by spending money on Google Play via in-app items, movies, books, subscriptions, etc. But the company will apparently let you earn points even by downloading featured free apps and games. There are weekly points events as well that can help you boost your points.

Google Play Points can be redeemed on in-app items and other things, but you can also choose to use your points to support a rotating list of nonprofit organizations which is pretty cool. You can join Google Play Points from the Google Play app.
