HP Announces New Chrome Enterprise Products and Services

Posted October 10, 2019 | Chrome OS | Chromebook | HP | Windows

HP today announced enterprise-focused Chromebooks and a Chromebox, plus a Device as a Service (DaaS) offering.

“Recognizing that 80 percent of the expense of a PC occurs after purchase, 4 out of 5 businesses are already exploring cloud-native clients like Chromebooks to free their organization from the management and support burdens of legacy IT,” HP Vice President and General Manager Maulik Pandya explains. “HP is merging the simplicity, efficiency, and security of Chrome Enterprise with HP’s business-class devices and services, enabling businesses to modernize their endpoints with a cloud-first approach.”

New products and services include:

HP Chromebook Enterprise x360 14E G1. This 14-inch Chromebook convertible features a durable aluminum design, Intel Core i5 and i7 processors, a B&O audio experience, a narrow-bezel touchscreen display, USB-C docking, and dual speakers, and it provides up to 13 hours of battery life.

HP Chromebook Enterprise 14A G5. This 14-inch Chromebook is aimed at frontline workers, is powered by AMD A4 and A6 processors, and features HP Fast Charge Technology and USB-C.

HP Chromebox Enterprise G2. This compact Chromebox is aimed at frontline workers in call centers, shared workspaces, and public business centers, and it can be configured for kiosks and digital signage as well. It’s powered by 7th- or 8th-generation Intel processors and up to 16 GB of RAM, and it can power two 4K displays.

Chrome Enterprise devices in HP DaaS. HP’s Device as a Service (DaaS) offering now supports Chrome Enterprise devices, allowing businesses to use the device mix that’s right for them. With HP DaaS, IT can monitor security compliance, hardware health, SMART battery status, and warranty status across device types as well as view inventory, OS version, and manufacturing date on each. “This is a complete solution that combines multi-OS hardware, analytics from HP TechPulse, and lifecycle services that allow users to optimize their IT assets and resources,” Pandya says.
