Microsoft’s LinkedIn Gets a New CEO

Posted February 5, 2020 | Cloud | LinkedIn | Microsoft | Microsoft Consumer Services | Windows

Microsoft’s LinkedIn is announcing some major leadership changes today. The company announced this morning that its CEO Jeff Weiner is stepping down after 11 years at the company.

Weiner will be succeeded by Ryan Roslansky, who has been at LinkedIn for more than 10 years. Roslansky helped lead a lot of product-related projects at LinkedIn and was previously the Senior Vice President of Product at LinkedIn.

As the new CEO of LinkedIn, Roslansky will be reporting directly to Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and the Senior Leadership Team.

Jeff Weiner is not leaving LinkedIn, however. Weiner will now be an Executive Chairman at LinkedIn and will continue to work with the LinkedIn team. “Jeff will continue to work to help realize our vision of creating economic opportunity for every member of the global workforce, support our leadership team and focus on developing the next generation of leadership within LinkedIn and building key relationships externally on behalf of the company,” said the company.

LinkedIn is also promoting ex-VP of Marketing Solutions Tomer Cohen as the head of product in June 2020.
