Google announced today that it is bringing Google Fi spam warnings, enhanced VPN network, and Wi-Fi calling to more phones.

“We’ve been working to bring the Google Fi experience to more people across the U.S., and last year we expanded Fi plans to the majority of Android devices and iPhones,” Google’s Alex Zheng writes. “Today, we’re bringing some favorite Fi features to these devices.”

Those features, spam warnings, enhanced VPN network, and Wi-Fi calling, were previously available only Fi-certified phones. But now, Google, says, spam call warnings and number blocking is available on all phones Fi-compatible phones, including iPhone. And Fi’s enhanced VPN network and Wi-Fi calling features are available on all Android phones.

“When you use our enhanced VPN network, all of your cellular and W-iFi traffic is encrypted so you have peace of mind, knowing nobody else can see your online activity,” Zheng says. “And with Wi-Fi calling, you can make and receive calls as long as you have a Wi-Fi connection, even when you don’t have cellular coverage.”

Google says you can access these features in the Google Fi app’s Phone Settings interface.
