Nvidia Launches GeForce NOW for Everyone

Posted February 4, 2020 | Games | GeForce NOW | Nvidia | PC gaming | Windows

Nvidia is bringing its game streaming service out of beta. Nvidia’s GeForce NOW service is now available to everyone, and you no longer need to join the waitlist for the service to start using it.

Nvidia’s game streaming service is no different from existing solutions, but the service mainly lets you stream PC games from Nvidia’s cloud servers.

Nvidia says GeForce NOW brings the power of its world-class GPU architecture and Game Ready Drivers to users. The service now allows users to stream games with ray-tracing for titles that support it, which means you can play games with ray-tracing enabled on RTX graphics without actually having to buy the graphic cards yourself.

GeForce NOW supports Windows, Mac, Shield, and Android phones, with Chrome OS support coming later this year.  GeForce NOW lets you stream games from services like Steam, and it also includes 30 free-to-play games.

The service has a free tier which allows you to play games in 1-hour sessions, and the paid $4.99 a month option gives you access to the power of RTX, a free 90-day introductory period, and priority access.
