PlayStation is Having a Big Sale Too

Posted June 9, 2018 | Playstation | PlayStation 4 | PlayStation VR | Windows | Xbox

Microsoft isn’t the only console maker offering a big video game sale right now: The PlayStation Store is offering up to 40 percent off of PS4 games too.

“Days of Play is a global promotion celebrating our passionate PlayStation community with eleven days of deals at participating retailers while supplies last,” Sony’s Brian Fujimoto explains. “Save up to forty percent on a wide range of blockbuster PS4 games including God of War, Call of Duty: WWII Gold Edition, and Gran Turismo Sport, as well as immersive PS VR titles likeFarpoint, The Inpatient, and Bravo Team.”

You can find the full list of digital game titles available on sale on the PlayStation Store website. And like Microsoft, Sony isn’t limiting the sale to just games: There are consoles, controllers, and other hardware devices on sale, too. So is Sony’s cord-cutting service, PS Vue, which is now 20 percent off for the first two months.

And in related news, Sony also announced that its PlayStation Now service—which, unlike Xbox Game Pass, really is a kind of “Netflix for video games”—now provides over 650 PS2, PS3, and PS4 games to subscribers. (By comparison, Xbox Game Pass has a bit over 100 games.)

“This month we’ve got 12 great games, including PS4 upgrades of Sniper Elite 3 Ultimate Edition and WRC 5 FIA World Rally Championship, another great batch of PS2 classic games like Wild Arms 3, Okage: Shadow King, and Arc the Lad: Twilight of the Spirits, as well as PS4 racing games like Sebastien Loeb Rally Evo and Table Top Racing,” Sony’s Brian Dunn writes.

PlayStation Now is also on sale: Through September 25, Sony is offering PS Now at $9.99 per month or $99 for a full year (for new subscribers).
