Popular Surface Pro 7 accessory is certified by the FCC

Posted September 18, 2019 | Mobile | News

On October 2nd, Microsoft will hold its next Surface event and we expect to see the latest iteration of Microsoft’s premium tablet unveiled. Yes, the Surface Pro 7 should be unwrapped during the festivities and we have already seen rumored configurations of the device leak for the European market. The Windows-powered slates are said to be equipped with the 10th-generation Intel Core processor and models will reportedly be available with 4GB of memory and 128GB of SSD storage (powered by the 10th-gen Core i3) to the top-of-the-line unit with 16GB of memory and 512GB of storage (powered by the 10th-gen Core i7).
While owning a Type Cover is important if you plan on using the Surface Pro as a laptop substitute, another accessory in demand is the Surface Pen. According to WinCentral, the stylus has just received certification from the FCC. The documentation from the regulatory agency refers to the Surface Pen as a Wireless Input Accessory Device, and it will support Bluetooth Low Energy (LE). The new Surface Pen is expected to feature a scroll wheel allowing users to change pages and zoom in and out with the use of a finger.

The Surface Pro 7 will reportedly feature thinner bezels and a slightly flatter design. While the display should remain at 12.3-inches, the DisplayPort will be replaced with a Type-C port. However, the proprietary Surface Connect system remains intact which means no Thunderbolt 3 ports will be found on the slate.
