Samsung Now Lets You Stream Games on Your Phone From Your PC

Posted November 28, 2019 | Android | Galaxy | Games | Hardware | Mobile | PlayGalaxy Link | Samsung | Windows

Samsung is launching a brand new way to stream games on the go. And although there’s already a bunch of different game streaming services you can choose from right now, Samsung decided to offer yet another solution for those with Galaxy devices.

The company’s new PlayGalaxy Link app lets users stream games from their PC on their phone. The feature works much like Xbox Console Streaming, which allows users to stream games from their Xbox on their Android.

PlayGalaxy Link, on the other hand, is only available for the Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy S10 users. Samsung plans to introduce support for the Galaxy Fold, Galaxy S9, Galaxy Note 9, and Galaxy A90 sometime in December. The app only supports Windows 10 devices, and you are required to have a device powered by an Intel Core i5 or higher processor, at least 8GB of DDR4 RAM, at least the NVIDIA  GTX 1060 GPU or AMD Radeon RX550, and Windows 10.

Samsung says PlayGalaxy Link will work even when you are not next to your PC, which is obviously the main point here. The company is also promoting the Glap controller for PlayGalaxy Link, which offers an optimized experience for Galaxy phones. You can find out more about the PlayGalaxy Link beta here, which is first launching in South Korea, US, UK, Canada, Italy, the Netherlands, France, Singapore, and Russia.
