Apple AirPods 3 could enter production as early as next month
Apple’s second-generation AirPods are only six months old but the Cupertino-based giant is reportedly already hard at work on a third pair. Details are scarce at the moment but rumors suggest they’ll represent a slightly more premium offering and, if a new report is anything to go by, they could launch later this year.
This timeline falls in line with previous comments made by analyst Ming-Chi Kuo who predicted Apple would kick off mass production for its next set of AirPods during the fourth quarter of 2019 or the first quarter of 2020.
Information about what new features the AirPods 3 will offer unfortunately wasn’t provided today but Mark Gurman previously claimed Apple was working on noise cancelation and water and dust resistance. Additionally, an all-new design has been tipped in the past.
