Best Buy outdoes Microsoft with insane Surface Pro 6 discounts of up to $500
If you’re not exactly impressed by the internal upgrades and long overdue USB-C port adoption of the new Surface Pro 7, Microsoft is still selling a 2018-released 2-in-1 detachable tablet computer that looks pretty much identical to its successor at first glance.
After you become a member, you’ll be able to easily shave $400 and $500 off the list prices of Surface Pro 6 models with a 256GB solid state drive and 8 gigs of memory, as well as an Intel Core i5 and i7 processor respectively in physical stores, online, or by using the official Best Buy mobile app.
The Core i5-powered variant is typically priced at $1,199, but you can currently get it in exchange for $899 from Microsoft and as little as $799 at Best Buy. Meanwhile, if you’re looking for a true high-end laptop replacement, the Intel Core i7 configuration will set you back $999 when purchased from Best Buy, compared to Microsoft’s $1,099 charge at the time of this writing and the tablet’s $1,499 recommended price last year.
Before pulling the trigger, you might want to keep in mind these are tablet-only deals we’re talking about here, so if you do plan on using the Surface Pro 6 as a full-fledged computing machine, you’ll have to separately buy the optional Type Cover keyboard and Surface Pen.
