Check out the latest press render of the Samsung Galaxy Note 10+

Posted July 12, 2019 | Mobile | News

A triple-camera setup on the back (12MP primary + 12MP telephoto with 2x optical zoom + 16MP Ultra wide-angle) will be accompanied by a Time of Flight (ToF) sensor. This sensor times how long it takes for an infrared beam to bounce off a subject and return to the phone. That data can be used to calculate more accurate 3D depth maps for an improved bokeh effect on portraits.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ will be an expensive phone regardless of which version you buy

There will be both a 4G LTE version of this phone (SM-N975) and a 5G variant (SM-N976). In the U.S., the latter is expected to be a Verizon exclusive and could be equipped with up to 12GB of RAM, according to a benchmark test. The international version of the same phone went through the same benchmark test carrying 8GB of memory. Thus, we’d expect to see at least two configurations for both the 4G LTE and 5G models. One might feature 8GB of memory and 128GB of storage while the other could contain 12GB of memory and 512GB or 1TB of storage. As far as the battery is concerned, the space taken up by the S Pen might have prevented Samsung from including a 4500mAh battery with the handset; after all, that is the capacity on the Galaxy S10 5G‘s battery. Instead, a 4170mAh battery will run the Galaxy Note 10+ and a 25W charger will be included in the box. A tweet disseminated yesterday by tipster Ice Universe (@Universeice) says that the device will support 45W wired charging and 20W wireless charging.

The Galaxy Note 10+ will have an IP68 rating making it impervious to dust and allows it to be submerged in nearly 5 feet of water for as long as 30 minutes. It will also include the PowerShare feature also known as reverse wireless charging. The user places the phone on a table screen side down and uses the back panel as a wireless charging pad to replenish the batteries on the Galaxy Buds and compatible phones. There will also be an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint scanner and a facial recognition system to unlock the phone. The Galaxy Note 10+ will not sport a 3.5mm headphone jack.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 10+ along with the Galaxy Note 10 and possibly the Galaxy Watch 2 and Galaxy Tab S6 will be introduced on August 7th. The venue of the latest Samsung Unpacked event is Brooklyn’s Barclays Center. Pre-orders will be taken immediately after the Unpacked event comes to a close and the phone will start shipping on August 23rd. The latest pricing rumor has the Galaxy Note 10+ starting at 1,149 EUR, which translates into $1,296 USD. While we might not know for sure about the pricing until August 7th, just keep in mind that this will be an expensive phone regardless of whether you pick up the 4G LTE or 5G variant.
