After launching the GeForce NOW public beta, NVIDIA announced plans to extend the streaming service to more screens with Android mobile. The gaming streaming service will be available to select Android phones starting later this year, NVIDIA confirmed earlier today.

For the time being, NVIDIA only mentions LG and Samsung flagships, but we can safely assume that there will be more Android phone compatible with GeForce NOW at launch later this year. The streaming service will be available via the Android mobile app, which will be first released in beta.

After improving and optimizing the experience, GeForce NOW will be made available to all Android users with compatible smartphones. According to NVIDIA, to benefit from the best mobile gaming experience, it’s recommended to use a Bluetooth gamepad, such as SHIELD controller, Razer Raiju Mobile, Steelseries Stratus Duo or Glap Gamepad (in Korea), as some games will be unplayable on an Android phone without a gamepad.

GeForce NOW is a streaming service that connects to popular digital game stores, allowing gamers to bring their game libraries with them. You’ll be able to stream games like Control (upcoming title), Fallout 76, Fortnite, Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Wolfenstein: Youngblood and World of Tanks.

The service supports more than 500 games, with compatibility for thousands more, but you’ll have to own the games that you want to play. Of course, once you purchased a game from a digital store, you can download and play it locally, and you don’t need to purchase it again to play it in the cloud with GeForce NOW.
