An Aura Glow-like finish is reportedly on the cards

Online retailer Mobile Fun claims to have received news today that Apple’s iPhone 11 Pro and iPhone 11 Pro Max will be sold in a new gradient finish that’s pretty similar to the Galaxy Note 10’s Aura Glow color. Adding further weight to the rumor is case maker Olixar which has supplied Mobile Fun with a render of Apple’s next flagships wearing the rumored new color. 

It’s unclear at this stage if the Aura Glow-like variant of Apple’s next flagships will cost any extra or be limited to certain storage configurations. Either way, it could prove to be a hit among iPhone fans who are looking for something more colorful but not necessarily interested in the cheaper iPhone 11R which will feature just two rear cameras and an LCD display.
The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max, for those of you that aren’t yet aware, will feature 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch notched OLED displays respectively that ditch 3D Touch. These will be coupled with square-shaped camera modules on the rear that’ll house a total of three 12-megapixel sensors. The one positioned in the top-left corner will act as the primary camera while the snapper directly below should arrive paired with a telephoto zoom lens. The remaining sensor, on the other hand, is expected to boast an ultra-wide-angle lens.

Circling back to the colors, rumors suggest Apple will offer the option of a glossy or matte finish. Certain colors may be available in just one of the options or the Cupertino giant may choose to offer it as an option with all variants.

This device, as mentioned above, will feature an LCD panel up front much like the current-gen iPhone XR and a dual-camera setup on the back. The latter will consist of the same primary and telephoto shooters found on the Pro models but without the ultra-wide-angle alternative.

The iPhone 11R’s battery capacity should be ever so slightly higher than that of the iPhone XR but the difference won’t be anything drastic. This time around, though, Apple is expected to add reverse wireless charging to the mix so that users can wireless charge their AirPods or Apple Watch on the back of the phone. Completing the spec sheet looks set to be Apple’s A13 Bionic coupled with 4GB of RAM and iOS 13 straight out of the box. Other features may include a redesigned mute switch, an updated Face ID system that’s faster and capable of scanning faces from wider angles and shorter distances, and a Lightning port rather than a USB-C connector.
