Xbox Cloud Games Can Now Be Lauched From Bing Search Results
Microsoft now lets Bing users launch Xbox cloud-enabled games right from the search results page. When searching for Xbox Cloud Gaming titles such as Halo Infinite or Fortnite, Bing users should now see a card at the top of the page with a Play button to start streaming it on the web.
It’s not clear if this new Xbox Cloud Gaming integration in search results is currently available for all Bing users, though some tweets about the feature got some traction yesterday. However, christianwilson in our own forums claims to have seen this Xbox Cloud Gaming integration in Bing back in June.

In our own testing, we saw these new Xbox Cloud Gaming cards with the Play button in both Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome. The cards showed in Bing even when we were not logged in to a Microsoft account. Clicking on the Play button opens the Xbox Store listing for the game where there’s another Play button to launch the Xbox Cloud Gaming session. To do that, you’ll need to be logged in to a Microsoft account with an active Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscription
Google is currently testing a similar integration of cloud gaming services in its search results. As we reported back in August, the integration currently supports the soon-to-be-retired Google Stadia, Amazon Luna, Xbox Cloud Gaming, and Nvidia GeForce Now.

Xbox Cloud Gaming seems to be gaining some real momentum this year. Fortnite is now free-to-play for everyone via the web, no Game Pass Ultimate subscription required. Microsoft has also teamed up with Samsung to bring an Xbox Cloud Gaming app to the company’s 2022 Smart TVs and monitors, and this could be just the beginning.
Microsoft is also working on a new “Keystone” Xbox streaming box that will provide an affordable way to access Xbox Cloud Gaming on any TV or monitor. Yesterday, Xbox head Phil Spencer apparently tweeted the first picture of the new device, which looks to be roughly the same size as an Xbox controller.
